Friday Round Up

Dear All,

We have had a great week in year 2.

In English we have been adding suffixes – ‘est’ and ‘er’ and using them in our writing about our adventure in the woods and what it is like living in the cottage with the wolf, the lynx and the bear.

In Maths we have completed our unit on length and height, measuring in centimetres and metres using rulers and metre sticks.

In Music we are learning songs from each decade, going back to the 1950’s and the children are loving the old songs.

In R.E. we are learning about the Bible, how it is organised, what can be found in the Old Testament and the New Testament and what the Bible means to Christians. Please ask your child to tell you what they have learnt.

On Tuesday the children thoroughly enjoyed watching Image Theatre Company perform ‘The Selfish Giant’, we have some budding actors and actresses in Year 2.
