Weekly Newsletter - 26th March

We hope that the children enjoy a fantastic Easter holiday and don’t eat too much chocolate!!! It has been an excellent term with the children trying their best and making good progress in many areas. Please remember that school closes at 2pm this Thursday, after our Easter celebration assembly at 1.15pm, and re-opens on Monday 16th April at 8.55am. Thank you.

School reports

Please note that, due to the Y6 test results not now being available until 10th July, all annual reports will now be sent home with the children on Tuesday 10th July. The report will provide a summary of your child’s achievements this year and key next steps in learning.

Easter journey

Year 5 travel to Frodsham tomorrow, Tuesday 27th March, to visit Main Street Church to hear ‘The Easter Journey’. We hope that they enjoy the experience.

Sports update

Cross country – Well done to everyone who ran at Delamere Forest on Friday in the FAVSP series of races. Special mention to Itala-Maria Ferraro (Y6), Ryan Bagley (Y6) and Leo Morphet (Y4) who won gold medals! Also well done to Mollie Kerr (Y4) and Evangeline Godwin (Y3) who won silver medals and Nancy Farmer (Y5) who won a bronze medal.

Another big well done to everyone who ran at Cheshire Oaks on Saturday in the last of the series of West Cheshire Athletics Club races. Running two races so quickly was difficult so a huge well done! That’s this year’s races finished now. Cross country club will continue in the summer term for anyone interested in joining.

Image Musical Theatre

We hope that the children enjoy the production of ‘Robin Hood’ this Wednesday. Image Musical Theatre always put on a lively, interactive performance. Thank you to FOH for funding this event.

Lunch Accounts

Please ensure your child’s lunch account is in credit and any arrears must be cleared on ParentPay before the end of this week.

Y6 – cycling to school

Those children in Y6 who passed their level 2 ‘Bikeability’ course in the autumn term can, with permission from parents, cycle to school. Written permission can be given to Mrs Thomas or Mr Richardson. Bikes should not be ridden in the playground and must be stored in the cycle racks on the KS1 playground. Any questions about cycling to school can be directed to Mr Richardson. Please remember to keep your bike in good condition and wear a helmet. Thank you.

COIN COMPETITION - Thursday 29th March at School, time 9am.

We have received TWO offers of support so far, we could do with a few more. If you can stay behind to help the children place their coins down in a line, we would be very grateful. It would make the event quicker and simpler. If you can help, please go to the office if you’re in KS2 or go to your class teacher if you’re in KS1. Thank you! N.B - this is a separate event to the £1 non uniform day for autism awareness. The non uniform day is a school event. So you need £1 for non-uniform plus your coins for our competition. Thank you!

Signing off

We have had another amazing term and it’s now time to switch off and catch up on some family fun time. We wish you all a fabulous Easter break and yes, if you’re wondering, we can confirm, it is OK to eat your child’s Easter Egg 😜 haha! Thanks so much everyone for your continued support. We really are making a great difference to our School and to all our Children - Thank you!

Oh, before we leave, a little heads up - we are giving you the chance to have another wardrobe clear out. We are booking another ClothesAid collection for next term so have a little look during the break. We will let you know the date of collection when we return. Thank you!
