Christmas Fair

A huge thank you to everyone for your support at our Christmas Fair on Friday evening.  Well done to everyone who worked so hard to make the event a success, especially those hardworking members of ‘Friends of Hillside’ who put so much into the event – thank you!

Christmas productions

This week sees our Reception and KS1 pupils present ‘The INN-Spectors’ at 2pm on Tuesday and 6.30pm on Wednesday. Can the children please be in school between 6.00-6.15pm on Wednesday. Most tickets were sent home on Friday, any ordered since then will be issued today. A reminder that it’s 2 tickets per family per key stage production. We do hope that the children enjoy performing for you – they are very excited and have been practising hard!  Thank you to everyone for all their hard work!

Next week, KS2 are looking forward to sharing ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ with you!

Christmas lunch

All children are invited to join us for Christmas lunch on Wednesday, 12th December.  This is always a lovely occasion and the midday assistants enjoy setting up the hall and making it a special day – thank you to all of them for their help with this.  If children do not want a Christmas lunch, they can still bring their packed lunch and enjoy eating it with their friends.

Please ensure all school meals are paid for in advance and any arrears are cleared before the end of term next week.

Pantomime trip

We are all looking forward to our trip to the Pantomime on Monday! A reminder to please make payment asap if you haven’t so already. Please contact the office with any queries.

Data Collection – SIMS Parent App

Further to the letter sent home last week, you should receive an email invitation within the next couple of days (from The email will be sent to the parent who is either the priority 1 or 2 contact with an email address on record and who live at the same address as the child.

We would be grateful if you can download the app and the review the information held and amend any details if necessary. If you do not have access via a smart phone or the internet and/or would prefer not to use the app, please contact the office and we will send a paper data collection sheet home for you to review.

Parent Governor

A reminder that the closing date for any parent governor nominations is this Friday 14th December.  Candidates must be the parent of a registered pupil at our school at the time of the election and must agree to being nominated. Each nomination must be supported by a proposer and a seconder who may be the husband or wife of the candidate. A parent may not propose or second more than one candidate in any one election. If more than one nomination is received, an election will be held w/c 7th January 2018. Candidates may therefore wish to provide a statement in support of your nomination, in no more than 100 words, which will be sent to parents with the ballot papers. Please contact Mrs MacCready in the school office for further details and/or a nomination form.

Sports News

Well done to Miss Frommert our sports teaching assistant who completed the Tatton Park Yule Yomp 10k run on Sunday in aid of the British Heart foundation.


A reminder that Christmas Beanies are available to buy from the school office for a minimum donation of £1.50 each, in aid of Halton Haven Hospice.
