    Poppy Appeal
We are again supporting The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal during this week of remembrance by selling poppies and other merchandise in school. Please support the appeal.
Thank you very much for supporting our harvest celebrations.  The children really enjoyed their harvest breakfasts and the harvest festival at St Paul’s Church was a real celebration of harvest time.  Thank you for coming along and making it such a special service.  Your donations of food items were very generous and we have taken all food to the local foodbank.  Thank you once again for your kind donations.
Parking and driving safely: polite reminder
Please remember to drive safely when dropping off and picking up at school, keeping to the 20mph speed limit and following the one-way system on Bates Lane.  Also, please park safely and consider our neighbours and don’t block drives or access roads. Thank you.
    Sports update
Well done to the Year 5 pupils who played in the FAVSP ‘Quick Sticks’ hockey tournament before half-term.  They played against some experienced hockey players and acquitted themselves well, winning two of their games.
Another big well done to all the members of the cross country squad who ran in the second race of the WCAC series of races at Ellesmere Port Sports Village on Saturday
    Miss Bulmer
Congratulations to Miss Bulmer, Year 2 teaching assistant and midday assistant, who got married over the holidays!  We hope that she had a great day and wish her well for the future.  She will be now be known as Mrs Newton.
    Lunch accounts
Please check your child’s lunch account on ParentPay and ensure any arrears are cleared asap and the account is in credit if your child will be having school meals.
Review of current Chester City Public Space Protection Order
Extra powers to tackle certain types of anti-social behaviour in public places in Chester city centre are currently under review. A public consultation to seek the views of the general public and other interested bodies remains open until Sunday 11 November.
In October 2014 the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime & Policing Act 2014 (the Act) introduced new powers relevant to tackling anti-social behaviour. In February 2016 Cabinet approved the implementation of a three-year Public Space Protection Order in Chester City Centre. The PSPO was implemented in May 2016 and is due to expire in May 2019 unless it is reviewed and measures re-implemented appropriately.
