Weekly Newsletter – 12 July 2021

Dear parents and carers

Best wishes!

This is my last newsletter as headteacher and I just wanted to take the opportunity to wish everyone all the very best for the future. I hope that you and the children enjoy a great summer holiday! I am incredibly proud of how our school community has pulled together during the last year and I believe that our children are in a good position to move forward and achieve their dreams. Good luck to Year 6 as they transition to high school and to all the children as they start in their new classes next year. I am sure that I leave the school in good hands with Mr Khan and the rest of the staff team and wish them well too. I am sure that the school will continue to go from strength to strength!

Thanks very much for all your support over the last twelve years and for your kind wishes. I have lots of work already booked in for next year so I am going to be very busy!

Testing positive for Covid

Please remember to inform school if your child tests positive up to Sunday 18th July at 6pm. Please email or telephone 01928 722991. Thanks you.

School uniform and lost property

Please make sure that your child brings home all items from their cloakroom and classroom by the end of this week. Any items left will be disposed of during the summer clean.

Mega Treat Day

I am pleased to report that the children had a fantastic time last Thursday! Mega Treat was something I first promised the children in the middle of lockdown. It seemed a long way away then but it was worth it! The children enjoyed the inflatables, the circus skills workshops, the dancing and the ice-cream van of course.

Big thanks to Mrs Ellis in the school office who helped organise it all and to everyone who helped on the day.

Reminder: Reading Scheme Update

Please return all school reading books asap if you have not already done so. Please continue to encourage your child to access our online library with Collins e-books. Ask you class teacher if you need any help.

16 July School closes for the summer holidays! Reception 2.10pm; Y1 2pm; Y2 1.50pm; Y3 2.10pm; Y4 2pm; Y5 1.50pm; Y6 1.40pm

Thanks very much everyone. Please take care and stay safe. Kind regards.
