Weekly Newsletter – 25 January 2021

REMINDER: GOVERNMENT ADVICE: CRITICAL WORKERS SHOULD ‘KEEP THEIR CHILDREN AT HOME IF THEY CAN’

Dear parents and carers

As always, I have tried to keep the weekly newsletter as brief as possible. Please try to take note of everything in the newsletter as it contains important information and updates.

Vulnerable children and critical worker groups

I would like to thank the teaching assistants and support staff for their dedication and commitment in caring for the critical worker and vulnerable children in school. They are doing an amazing job in both caring for the pupils and supporting them in accessing the live lessons. Well done!

From this week, to help with capacity and organisation in school, we are combining Reception and Year 1 into one bubble with a maximum of 11 children. We are also combining Year 5 and Year 6 into one bubble with a maximum of 12 children. Other year groups will remain in individual bubbles for now.

Remote Learning Plan – updated 19 January 2021

Just a reminder about last week’s communication regarding a small change to the remote lessons from today. The timetable from today (25.1.21) is set out below. Please note the small change to the timings of Reception and Year 5 lessons. This is to help us facilitate provision for critical worker and vulnerable pupils in school. If there is a change to the Zoom link, your teacher will be in touch.

9am Year 5, Year 6

10am Reception, Year 1, Year 2

11am Year 3, Year 4

12pm Year 5, Year 6

1pm Reception, Year 1, Year 2

2pm Year 3, Year 4

Details of our remote learning plan are summarised on the school website under the Covid tab.

Assemblies – a reminder of the Zoom links for assemblies this week (same link as before)

Please do try and join me for assembly. However, if this is proving difficult due to the pressures on remote learning and keeping up to date with everything, please don’t worry. The children don’t need to join every assembly – just ‘drop in’ when you can!

Reminder: new parent governors

I am pleased to announce the appointment of our two new parent governors. Briony Hunter (parent of Toby in Year 1) and Holly Butchers (parent of Tilly in Reception and Rose in Year 3) have been appointed to the governing body. We wish them well in their new role and are sure they will be fantastic additions to our governor team.

Thanks everyone. Please take care and stay safe.

Kind regards
