Thank yous

Thank you to everyone for your support last week with sending in items for the Easter bingo – we received lots of donations so you will see some fantastic hamper prizes at the Easter bingo on Friday 22nd March – eyes down at 6.30pm.

Thank you too for your support with World Book Day on Thursday.  It was brilliant to see so many fantastic costumes.  A great deal of effort must have gone in to creating them – well done everyone!

Thanks to all the KS2 parents who joined their child for lunch on Wednesday last week.  We received some excellent reports about the quality of food.

Red Nose Day – Friday 15th March

As usual, we are supporting Comic Relief’s ‘Red Nose Day’ on Friday.  The children can come dressed in red (or with their hair red!!!) and bring in a suggested donation of 50p or £1.  Thank you as always for your support.

Sports update

Well done to the Year 2 football team who won the ‘Mini-kickers’ tournament at Frodsham Leisure Centre last week!  Two teams played a terrific competition.  Well done to everyone involved.  The winning team now go forward to play at Finch Farm, Everton’s academy, in the finals.

Well done to the year 5/6 football team who played against Kingsley CP last Wednesday.  The team are making good progress with a goal scored by Kyle Portis.  Well done everyone!

Hoops for Health

Cheshire Phoenix are in school this Thursday to deliver basketball sessions to Y5 and Y6 as part of the ‘Hoops for Health’ programme.  We hope that the children enjoy the sessions.

Year 2 – Beeston trip

We hope that Year 2 pupils are looking forward to their residential at Beeston next Monday and Tuesday!  We are sure that they will have a terrific time! Can parents please ensure they have returned the consent and medical form asap.

Music concert

Parents of children learning an individual instrument are invited to join us for a celebration assembly on Wednesday 20th March at 2pm.  This is a chance for our musicians to share their music and show us all how hard they have been practising.  We hope that the children are looking forward to performing. Letters with further information are coming home this week.

Parking considerately

A reminder that we have received several complaints from a neighbour on Bates Lane regarding cars blocking a driveway repeatedly at drop off and pick up times.  Please remember to park considerately and don’t block people’s drives.  Our ‘Park and Stride’ scheme has worked very well in the past – park at St Paul’s church car park and then walk through the church yard to school.  It only takes five minutes and helps relieve the traffic around school.  Thank you.
