Weekly Newsletter

18th March 2019

Last week, children across school undertook some important tests and assessments which helps inform the teachers how well they are doing and provides a check on whether they are making sufficient progress.  We are pleased to report that, as always, the large majority of pupils tried their best and achieved well.  Teachers will now use the information to inform their next steps in teaching and learning to help all children, and especially those who may be finding things difficult, to make gains in their learning.

Teachers will be providing a detailed summary of attainment and progress in the end of year report in July but, if you would like to know more before then, please ask your child’s classteacher or speak to Mr Richardson.  Thank you.

Residential visits – Beeston (Y2) and Tattenhall (Y4)

We hope that the Y2 pupils are looking forward to their trip to Beeston today.  We know that staying away overnight is a big step so we hope that everyone has a great time!  Year 4 trip to Tattenhall (3 days) is next week and we know that the children are very much looking forward to going.  I’m sure we’ll hear all about it next week!

KS2 Lunch accounts

Please ensure lunch accounts are in credit if your child will be having school meals. There are currently 20 accounts in arrears, please check and make payment on ParentPay asap. A reminder that you can set up alerts on your account to notify you when the balance reaches a certain amount.
