Parent progress evenings

A quick reminder that appointments for progress evenings on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th February are now available to book online. If you have any issues accessing or using the system, please contact the school office. Bookings close at 5pm on Monday 4th February. On these days the following after school clubs will be cancelled - KS2 football, choir, band practise and dodgeball.

Image Musical Theatre

The whole school will enjoy a performance of ‘Pinocchio ‘ tomorrow with ‘Image Musical Theatre’ group.  This is an interactive show where pupils get a chance to take part in the story, some through acting and some through singing.  We hope that the children enjoy it!

Sports Update

An excellent sporting week for Hillside, coming 1st in the Sportshall Athletics at Frodsham Leisure Centre!  18 children showed incredible all round sporting ability taking part in both field and track events.  We are looking forward to representing our cluster in the final on the 14th February at Ellesmere Port Sports Village.

RSPB bird watch

Year 5 spent a chilly but enjoyable hour watching and making notes of the different types of birds around school last Friday.  Mrs Thomas has entered their sightings on the RSPB bird watch site.

School lunch

Thank you to all Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 parents who joined us for lunch last week.  It was lovely to see you all enjoying lunch with the children.  We hope you enjoyed it!  We received some very good reports about the quality of the food – the ‘roast beef and Yorkshire pud’ went down well!!!  We would like to invite KS2 parents to come and have lunch with your child on Wednesday 6th March. A separate payment will be set up on ParentPay shortly.

Parking and driving safely: polite reminder

Please remember to drive safely when dropping off and picking up at school, keeping to the 20mph speed limit and following the one-way system on Bates Lane.  Also, please park safely and consider our neighbours and don’t block drives or access roads. Thank you.

Rail Safety video

The children were shown a rail safety video today in assembly.  This was produced by National Rail to raise awareness in children of the dangers of railways and how to keep themselves safe.  Further information is available at  Thank you.

Halton Haven Christmas beanies

We would like to say a big thank you to all those who purchased a Christmas beanie.  We raised £147.01 to give to Halton Haven Hospice.
