Weekly Newsletter

4th February 2019

Apologies if you didn’t receive last week’s newsletter via email. A reminder that the newsletter is always available to view on the school website, please see the ‘Our News’ section on the homepage.

Parent progress evenings

Thank you very much for making an appointment with your child’s classteacher to discuss their progress so far this year.  We do hope that you find the evening useful and informative.  If you haven’t yet made an appointment or have had difficulties in booking an appointment online, please speak to Mrs MacCready or Mrs Tregilgas in the office, online bookings close today at 5pm.

Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances we have had to change two parent progress evenings for Year 2 and Year 5. A reminder to those parents to please re-arrange your appointment time if necessary.

Extra curricular clubs

A reminder that the following clubs are cancelled this week due to parent’s progress evenings – Year 3 & 4 football and choir on Wednesday and band practise and dodgeball on Thursday.

Unfortunately there has not been enough interest in the Digital Photography Archelogy club so this will not be going ahead after half term. We will look to run this again in the Autumn term.

Data Collection

Another reminder, if you haven’t done so already, to please download the SIMS Parent App so you can review the information we hold on our systems and ensure it is up to date, especially contact details. Please let the office know if you need the activation email sending again or would prefer a paper data collection sheet to review.

Sports update

Y5/6 pupils followed up last week’s athletics success with another victory in the FAVSP Y5/6 netball competition.

On Wednesday 6th February Y5/6 are playing a football match v Frodsham CE at Proffits Lane.  Please put your name on the team sheet on the PE board if you can make it.

The next round of cross country WCAC races is this Saturday 9th February at Ellesmere Port Sports Village.  Good luck to everyone running.
